Camping is one of the outdoor activities that is carried by moat of the people from various different places across the world. Camping is however known as an outdoor activity mainly because it involves spending a couple of nights away from your home in a shelter mostly a tent. However, one can go for camping as an individual or even as a group with either the family members, friends or colleagues. Camping mainly involves leaving your home or any other residential place to spend some time outdoors in areas that are more natural but areas that have much enjoyments and fun.
Camping is however not the same as picnicking or even day-tripping though all are recreational activities mainly because of some few features that are in camping but not in some of these other recreational activities. For camping to be regarded as camping, a minimum of one night has to be spent outdoors and hence differentiating it from day-tripping, picnicking, and other similarly short-term recreational activities. Camping is not the same as other recreation activities since most of the recreation activities like the picnicking or even day tripping cannot be enjoyed through all the four seasons in a year. There are various forms of camping that most of the people practice across the world and hence being necessary to be aware of all these types of camping as discussed below.
Adventure camping is one of the main types or forms of camping that is also practiced by most of the people across the world. The adventure form of camping that is mostly practiced by various racers across the world is also known as adventure racing or even as mountain biking. During the adventure camping, there are some special equipment that most of those who race use and hence most of these equipment include the micro-camping stove, sleeping bag as well as bivouac shelter.
Dry camping is the other form of camping that is also practiced by most of the people. There are various places or locations where this type of camping can be practiced known as dry camps and hence being referred to as dry camping. However, dry camping is mostly practiced in various arid areas or deserts often preferred due to the risk of flash floods and hence this forces the campers to carry their own water in and out of camp, which requires much more preparation.
Canoe camping is the other form of camping that is also practiced by most of the people in various parts of the world.
